Update from Seattle

Unfortunately, the pain block procedure I had on July 27th (last Friday) did not relieve the pain. Knowing Rocky and I would be flying to Seattle early Monday morning, I knew we couldn’t repeat it in Honolulu. I was hoping we could try it again at Virginia Mason Med Center in Seattle. Instead the doctor prescribed a pain medication, which has helped immensely.  I’ve been through a battery of tests and scans this week at Virginia Mason. The clinical trial is scheduled for August 9th. Since we’re “free” August 3-8, Rocky and I went fishing! My brother flew in from Nebraska and we flew to Ketchikan, Alaska. Ben Hanusa, with Youth With a Mission, has worked in our keiki ministry. He invited us to come to his family’s fishing operation in Klawock on Prince Edward Island.  I won’t ask you to pray that we catch fish, but I know you’re praying for healing, and we’re grateful.
