He is Faithful

Posted: January 02, 2018

Ron reports he's feeling quite well this morning. He has been rebounding from the December 20-22 chemotherapy treatment, and will receive his second treatment this week, Wednesday - Friday noon (January 3-5). He's lost a good deal of weight, down to his weight as a senior in high school, but does not recommend this particular weight loss plan. He writes...

I was reading James this morning: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
-James 1:2-4

This surely is a test. A crisis doesn't make or break our faith; it reveals the kind of faith we've built. The Lord is no doubt using this to bring maturity to our faith, but I'm so grateful to say our faith is in no way shaken by this test. We trust Him completely to accomplish His purpose and be glorified through this trial. We can honestly say the Lord has given us joy, as we've experienced His peace daily in the midst of the suffering.

He is faithful. So are you in your love and prayers for us. We would ask that you pray for strength for this upcoming treatment beginning tomorrow, that the cancer cells would be eradicated and Jesus' touch would bring healing. Pray that our church would only grow stronger and more mature in faith as we encounter this test.

Thank you for your kind and loving support.

We love you!
Ron & Dee
