Global Missions

Missions of Hope International (MOHI) ministers to thousands of children and their families in Kenya’s Mathare Valley slum. The Lord continues to grow MOHI through the faithful partnership of our Kaimuki Christian Church family.

Mary Kamau and her husband Wallace are the Executive Directors of Missions of Hope International. Mary gives a 2016 year-in-review on how the Lord is moving among the disadvantaged communities of Kenya.

Ready to step out of your comfort zone and become a Short-Term Missionary?

Let me tell you why I'm encouraging you to do so. "For God so loved the world..." Reaching out to people in another culture will allow God to impart more of His heart for the world to you. Every time I've returned from a short-term mission, my prayer life has expanded as has my active concern for peoples in that country. That's not all. As you relate to people "over there" with the Good News, you'll become more concerned about people "over here." Additionally, you'll form deep friendships with your brothers and sisters in Christ as you pray together and work side-by-side, encouraging one another as you adapt and respond to the inevitable spiritual and physical challenges.
